# MIRA'S MIRAGE — STORY BRIEF

**Format:** 10–11 minute psychological mystery short film  
**Core thought:** Mira sees visual events that initially feel like mirages or hallucinations. The following day, those same events happen in reality.

## Locked vision rules

- **Time:** The echo appears at 6:12 AM and shows a 5–8 second fragment from the same physical place exactly 24 hours later.
- **Trigger:** Pre-sunrise light catches the scratched safety glass behind Mira's usual platform bench.
- **Visibility:** Only Mira sees and hears the echo; normal ambient sound disappears while it is active.
- **Truth:** The image is accurate, but the context before and after it is missing.
- **First vision:** The present platform already has damp reflective surfaces but no active rain; scratched glass briefly shows tomorrow's rain and an overturned red umbrella.
- **Later stakes:** A later echo shows a child's hand, Mira's collapsed charcoal coat and an approaching train without revealing the complete event.

## HERO — Who are we following?

Mira, a 29-year-old Bengali woman. She is observant, emotionally reserved and increasingly unsure whether her visions are warnings or causes.

## HOOK — What makes the story different?

Mira's visions repeat in reality the next day. The rule creates a mystery: can she change what she sees, or does trying to stop it make it happen?

## HEART — Why should the audience care?

Every vision forces Mira to choose between staying silent and risking someone's safety, or acting and risking her own credibility and control.

## Provisional logline

When a reserved young woman discovers that her hallucination-like visions become real the next day, she must understand their rules before her attempt to prevent a tragedy turns her into part of it.
